  • Clarke County Public Schools, in partnership with the Clarke County Education Foundation, will host the 2017 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Festival in Berryville, Virginia on November 15, 2017 at Clarke County High School. Our STEM Festival brings together students, community and business leaders to showcase STEM and its application in our everyday life.

The evening will begin with a STEM Fair featuring hands-on activities, exhibits, food, and music from 5:00 - 6:45 p.m. Immediately following the fair, a presentation will be given by engineer and TV Host Deanne Bell from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Deanne will present examples of successful engineers and scientists who, despite having similar educations, are impacting our world in very different ways, and she turns broad ideas of innovation into a personal challenge for her audience. Deanne's TV hosting credits include ESPN’s “Rise Up”, National Geographic’s “The Egyptian Job”, DIY Network’s “Money Hunters”, PBS’ “Design Squad”, and Discovery Channel’s “Smash Lab” and currently, “Make Me A Millionaire Inventor”.
