About the SCA: The J-WMS Student Cooperative Association (SCA) is a union of students at all three grade levels. It offers the student body a role in planning school activities and provides a forum for student ideas. SCA promotes leadership qualities in the officers of the Executive Team and in the grade level representatives who gather ideas for school improvement and spread the word about activities.
Officer elections in the fall of each school year allow students to participate in the democratic process. The SCA also takes responsibility for leading the Pledge of Allegiance at J-WMS. It encourages school spirit through Spirit Week and inter-grade level competitions.
Some of the school improvements that the SCA has accomplished over the years are: adding mirrors to restrooms, bulletin boards throughout the school, picnic tables outside the cafeteria, the school sign on Swan Avenue, and, together with the PTO, the purchase of our very own cougar mascot costume. Look for the cougar at J-WMS games!
